Production forest economy “Kozuv“ -Gevgelia

He was born on August.31.1974. He graduated at the university “Saint Cyril and Methodius, Faculty of Forestry” in Skopje in 1999.
The subsidiary forest economy “Kozuv”- Gevgelija was established in 1952 under the name Forest economy “Kozuv” Gevgelija with main office in Gevgelija.
With the new territorial division PSHS “ Kozuv”-Gevgelija gravitates at space of four municipalities Gevgelija, Bogdanci, Dojran and Kavadarci, with total forest areas of 54.738 he,out of which 46.128 is overgrown with woods, and 8.610 he is bare area.
Areas with high trunks can be found on 10.067 he comprised with the following types: beech, white pine and black pine, while areas with low trunk occupy 36.061 he and great number belongs to brushes and tree types such as: oak, ash forest and prnar.
Forest economy “Kozuv” Gevgelija has at disposal total wood pulp of 3.706.080 м3 and wood pulp quantity of felling trees of 52.786 m3.
The wood pulp quantity is used around 75%, out of that quantity about 8000 m3 is used as technical mass, while the other quantity is firewood mainly intended for use in municipalities in where the particular subsidiary operates.
One specific thing is that on the grounds of “Kozuv“ Gevgelija , professor Aleksandar Andonoski made trial foresting of eucalyptus trees which are successfully growing and develop. Here you can also find the rare endemit called Naked Man - (Arbutus andrachne).
At slopes of the mountain “Kozuv” an attractive skiing center “Kozuv” was built for the fans of this sport.
The subsidiary “Kozuv” Gevgelia manages with three hunting areas of opened type as: “VIsoka Chuka”, “Karabalia” and “Milisin” at total surface of 20000 he and one hunting area of closed type “Kilisin”- which is fenced and occupies 317 he, for breeding of wild boar, roe deer and deer equipped with complete infrastructure and with comfortable Hunter’s Lodge offering proper accommodation.
The subsidiary has own nursery plant at disposal intended for production of planting material of cypress, white pine ,black pine ,spruce, black locust, chestnut and oak for their own needs.
At the moment, subsidiary ”Kozuv”-Gevgelija has 91 employees 13 of which are forestry engineers.
